Exhibition: Till You Get Your Powers Back, 4710 Gallery, Tbilisi, Georgia
A hybrid piece incorporating pop-culture, sexuality, and concepts of feminine beauty. The piece brings together Jean-Paul Gaultier’s Madonna and Kartlis Deda, aiming to deconstruct the icons within. The piece touches on idols and our ability to conquer them in our consciousness. These iconic images can be based on the same worn-out, collectively held beliefs as the cultural constructs above.
