Gia Edzgveradze’s first solo exhibition

1985

The young artist who at that time was completely unique with the universal method of creativity was unacceptable and scandalous to the public. The black calligraphy writing style on white background were totally different from the art of the Soviet period, which was incomprehensible and unacceptable for most of the public. The staff of the art house did not allow Gia Edzgverdze to put the concept of artwork on the wall due to fear of t control, the exhibition was closed for three days before being able to avoid unnecessary problems.
