The Zdanevich Brother’s International Festival of Contemporary Art Fest i Nova- 2010

Major part of Fest i Nova 2010 is made up of projects which are implemented by Garikula residents - individuals or group of artists from Georgia and abroad.

Most of their projects are being conceptualized in Art Villa Garikula during the first part of the festival,

'WHERE'? In Batumi.

On July 31, the newly opened Boulevard Park of Batumi hosted inauguration ceremony of two sculptures created within the framework of Fest i Nova 2009 in Art Villa Garikula. French-Georgian project was jointly supported by the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia and Batumi City Municipality. Authors of the sculptures are Georgian artist Gela Tsuladze, who lives in France, and French sculptor Jean Dupuy.

Project 'AQET-IQIT Batumi' is an architectural project realized by seven artists; its idea was born in Garikula during Fest i Nova 2009, where small-scale sculptural models were created. Now the project is being implemented within the framework of Fest i Nova 2010 and implies setting up of two sculptures (KIRAMALA and WHERE) in Batumi's new boulevard park. Author of the project is Gela Tsuladze; Project Participants are Jean Dupuy, Gela Tsuladze, Koka Ramishvili, Emile Laugie, Elisa Fantozzi, Detective Aurele and Tamar Kvesitadze.
