Gia Bugadze's personal exhibition "Deep calleth unto deep" [National Gallery]

2016

The project “The Abyss Calls to the Abyss” is based on one important phrase in Article 7 of Psalm 41 and conveys the drama that lies between the inner and outer worlds.

The exhibition will present four artistic cycles created on different topics: "Bibliogram", "Counting", "Imprints" and "Abyss Calls Abyss". The exposition also includes an installation whose basic concept is contradictions - the theme of sympathy and antipathy, attraction and attraction, question and answer. The exhibition combines compositions performed in various media, often featuring stylistic parallels and allegorical-metaphorical associations. The artist applies the methods of cyclicity, distancing, thematic deployment and generalization, biotechnological installation techniques.

The project "Abyss Calls the Abyss" is a continuation of the project "VICTIMA I", "VICTIMA II", which was presented at the Dimitri Shevardnadze National Gallery in 2014.
