“Where is our place”
Tbilisi History Museum within the framework of the project “Contemporary Art Gallery”, presents the exhibition “Where is our place” by Guela Patiashvili.
Guela Patiashvili is a Georgian artist living in France. In his artworks we see the portraits of dogs, as if in imbalanced forms and characters. All this expresses the author's emotions and at the same time represents the associations imprinted in the viewer's consciousness.
“In mise en scenès which are inspired by psychological, social or spiritual subjects, my dogs, with their undisguised emotions, were able to convey human and non-human nature correctly and flawlessly.’’- This is how the author conveys his basic idea, which is read in the catalogue’s text prepared within the frame of the project and describes content of the exhibition.
There is new thematic environment in Guela Patiashvili’s works – newly discovered reality that existed and developed with us for a long time.
