FRAGMENTUM - Zura Apkhazi

2020

Zura Apkhazi's new exhibition Fragmentum unifies various collected fragments from past to present and future projects. Those fragments create a kind of a way, that is to see developing, also about to turn off from the road, but not to disorient. The specific of fragments consist of its different, various kinds of flexibility, that is to bring the possibility to create something new. There always is a new beginning from the past finished projects. The artist depends on this kind of experience in his creation that is to help us imagine one whole not-liner imaginary conceptual line. As far as Zura Apkhazi is being involved in the process of creation he always leaves the possibility of a perception of that imaginary line from outside, both for himself and the viewer. That is why the Fragmentum is a two-way process, the chance of subjective estimates, perceptivity of time (past, present, and future) in general, that would create new contexts from different contents. Fragments are also a possibility to share different experiences from finished projects, that are also to develop as future experiences. Fragments, in every possibility, are a unity of various combinations, that would be different at different times and circumstances.
