Art Villa Garikula invites you to the opening of the first project in our American Pavilion, in the framework of Fest I Nova 2015.

"Capsule" - is the work by artist Uta Bekaia. The Georgian artist, living in the US created this particular work in Art Villa Garikula.

Project "Capsule" with its concept responds to the infinite possibilities of Human mind. On one hand this work, reminds us of a sarcophagus, that keeps a human immovable in time, although on the other hand, this is a capsule, where a human mind unlike the inert state of the body, can travel in time and space.

Uta Bekaia has been living and working in New York since 1998. The Author of numerous installations, costumes and art objects is the participant of this year's Fest I Nova festival.

The American pavillion, was built with the support of the US Embassy in Tbilisi and has been in Art Villa Garikula for two years. The Pavillion will be hosting many Georgian and American Artists throughout the Festival.
