TRANSPORT

2020

The Contemporary Art Space presents an exhibition of one of the winning projects in the 2020 Competition. 1 August 18:00 - Transport -Culture train.

We eventually become what we do if we do it for a long time and carefully.

We absorb the function we choose or assume into us and grow to look through its eyes.

The port city, which is near the border, is in constant contact with various routes and naturally be-comes a conductor and accumulator of diverse cultural information.

Eventually, this knot of urban traffic will itself turn into a kind of transport, which while fixed in one place adapts, motivates, and drives all the routes and knowledges involved with it.

Just being in it gives a feeling of journeying and the perception of being moved, as if we are in a kind of big vehicle, whose various elements are separate microcosms, each with their own paths.

This artwork, which 15 artists have worked on, is a single installation consisting of several forms of transport. The object’s body contains different micro-installations related to Batumi.
