Exhibition of VA[A]DS Students in Kutaisi
VA[A]DS students organize a semester summary exhibition at the end of each semester. These exhibitions are usually held at the University or any other venue in Tbilisi. Artarea has repeatedly hosted VA[A]DS students shows, and the Oni Museum of Local Lore has organized a one-day exhibition of VA[A]DS in collaboration with Arteli Racha.
Organizing an exhibition in Kutaisi was the first initiative of the students when they decided to present their art outside Tbilisi.
The exhibition featured works by VA[A]DS lecturers: Nino Kvrivishvili, Khatia Esartia, and Tea Gvetadze.
The organizer and curator of the exhibition was Anastasia Akhvlediani, a graduate of VA[A]DS.
The exhibition featured works created in various mediums, including assamblages by Elene Khvedaguridze, rugs made of Sandro Anchabadze textiles and cellophane, and monochrome plaster objects by Ioana Tsulaia.
VAADS Dean Irina Popiashvili conducted the guided tour at the exhibition opening.
