Tamar Nadiradze - "Wherever I go, water follows"

2021

During the 4 months of collaboration between the gallery and its artist, 12 new works were produced, all of them to be shown at the exhibition.

It is important to mention that for this exhibition, Tamar worked with new materials, like the embroidery and clay.

The main line of the presented works is water:Water as an object of observation and an integral part of life; as the information that a person collects throughout life; as a symbol of the beginning, the end and the process, as a companion of life; One’s self as water - always moving.

Bringing mythological stories to real life, which is already typical for Tamar's work, is also the main area of thought for this exhibition. Artist’s experience, translated in different mediums, becomes so common in the exhibition space, that the boundaries between the viewer and the artist are blurred, replaced by the connection - as if by an invisible thread - another symbol of the exhibition.

Tamar Nadiradze, visual artist, explores and makes the connection between social life and contemporary art through artistic research, which she mainly turns into experimental publications and contemporary drawings. She is mainly interested in topics connected to Dialog of social life and anthropology, mythology, psychology, and gender as well.
