Temo Gotsadze Exhibition from Blue Horses to Abstraction [National Gallery]

The exhibition will feature 140 works by the artist. Including monumental abstractions, most of which are on display for the first time to the general public. Most of the works have been created in recent years and are united in a series entitled "From Blue Horses to Abstractions". The exhibition will also feature a graphic series of tiger skins created in 2015.

Along with fruitful creative activity, Temo Gotsadze has been involved in active public activities for decades. In 1967-1983 he was first the director of Georgian television and then the main artist. For 12 years he headed the artist house, and for the next 18 years (1988-2005) the National Gallery of Pictures. Under his leadership, spring and autumn exhibitions, personal and thematic exhibitions of Georgian artists were permanently organized at the National Gallery. Temo Gotsadze paved the way for many famous artists on the art track.

Temo Gotsadze's works are preserved in the Georgian National Museum, the Federal Museum of California, the Tretyakov State Gallery, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Düsseldorf, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Canada, and the Museum of Oriental Art in Moscow. Also in private collections in Italy, USA, Mexico, Iran, France, Great Britain, Turkey, Russia and Georgia.

The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia and the Center for Cultural Events of Tbilisi City Hall.
