Vakho Bugadze's personal exhibition "Suburb" [National Gallery]
After the exhibition "Victoria" held together with Oleg Timchenko and Ushangi Khumarashvili in 2013, the author's works will be exhibited again at the National Gallery, this time at his personal exhibition, which will feature about 70 paintings by the artist, created in 2013-2015.
By skillfully alternating the texture, watercolor, pigment and oil of a specially selected canvas, the author manages to visualize memories transformed over time. The series "Suburb" is related to the author's childhood memories. "Suburb" is a painting "on the verge of abstraction". - For a little boy, the miniature world of old Tbilisi suddenly changed to a completely different, urban environment and was later covered with many memories and fantasies.
