Gift to Adelaide, Exhibition of works by Davit Aleksidze [Museum of Fine Arts]
The exhibition will feature up to 30 graphic works created in the 90s. In the early 90's, the artist began to search for Georgian contexts in his works. He carries the Georgian ornament through the prism of his own aesthetics - from small size to large compositions, from water paints to oil paints and gives them an icon-type interpretation. Davit Aleksidze often uses experiments - he uses different techniques to get the desired color and texture.
Davit Aleksidze is an active representative of the contemporary art space of Georgia. He has participated in numerous international and group exhibitions. His works are included in international catalogs and are preserved in private collections in various countries. Currently, David Aleksidze is the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts.
