Dedicace Gallery ends its Glass Cube presentation series with an action – Museum Exhibit: Do Not Touch!

For this time, we present one hundred year artwork from a private collection, that is associated with the name of Iakob Nikoladze. He is well known as an introducer of western sculptural tradition in Georgia, who was the assistant of Auguste Rodin while studying in Paris. The Bronze miniature bust is linked to tragic history and dedicates to the deceased of his new-born sun.

Portrait of Irakli (Bronze, 20x13x13) was made in 1922. The sensitivity and characteristic nuances of infants portraits from the Renaissance are easily recognizable. In particular, the direct influence of the perfected works of the sculptor Desiderio da Setignano is obvious, where the antic model of portrays of Cupids adds the perfected portraiture signs.

The miniature portrait by Iakob Nikoladze, which shows equally the deeps of the emotion of the sculptor and the mastership of working on bronze, is brought out for a limited time. With this action, you are given the opportunity to see original artwork that is already a history.
