Dima Dadiani’s live performance

2014

On May 16 Dédicace Gallery opens its doors to electronic music: one of the most vivid representatives of the Georgian underground musical scene Dima Dadiani will welcome the visitors with a live performance. New music and sound, which are created specifically for this event are to express protest against non-liberal drug policy and at the same time show gratitude for the solidarity of the Georgian artists who supported the musician couple of months ago.

Performance has the following background: in September 2013 Gala Gallery hosted a closed charity exhibition and practically saved musician from imprisonment. Vakho Bughadze donated 20 paintings for the event. As a sign of solidarity he was followed by other famous artists Kote Sulaberidze, Ushangi Khumarashvili, Oleg Timchenko, Mamuka Japaridze, Mamuka Tsetskladze, Murtaz Shvelidze, Gio Sumbadze, Maya Sumbadze, Wato Tsereteli, Kote Chincharadze, Koka Tskhvediani, Gika Mirzashvili, Nino Chilashvili, Nino Sekhniashvili, Kote Mindadze and Giorgi Maskharashvili as well.

Charity exhibition turned into a test for the attitude of the Georgian artistic society towards existing non-liberal drug policy, which contradicts constitutional rights for human dignity, personal respect and freedom.

On May 16, 2014 at 7pm Dédicace Gallery presents Dima Dadiani’s live performance.
